Did you know the human body is almost 60% water? If you just look at our muscles, they are about 80% water, and our blood is 90% water.
Water is the most important nutrient for the human body and is necessary for every bodily function. So it is important this summer, and at every season in the year, to drink plenty of fluids.
Have a water bottle filled and within reach all day long. I like to flavor mine with a couple drops of pure lemon juice. Even juice or milk can rehydrate the body. But be careful of drinks that contain high amounts of sodium, which will cause the body to retain water. The body needs to pass the fluids through the body to remove toxins.
And if you are outside in the heat or expending a higher amount of calories where you will sweat, hydrate a little more often.
